Theben AG Symbols Now Available in Germany and Austria
The presence and motion detectors from Theben AG have been implemented in the RED CAD APP for Germany and Austria, and a new toolbox has been created.
Toolbox Download Improvements
Toolboxes are now checked upon opening and automatically detect when an updated version is available. Toolbox updates can be downloaded without updating the entire software.
Error Message Displayed for Unsupported DWG Formats
The error message displayed for unsupported DWG/DXF files has been improved. The previous error message caused confusion for affected users.
Electrical Toolbox Bug Fixes
Some symbols in various toolboxes caused the program to crash when placed. The affected symbols have been corrected.
New Toolbox – Fire Protection
The Swiss symbols for fire protection planning, escape route and rescue route planning, and fire service planning have been added and are now available in the RED CAD app.
All symbolism was provided and adopted by the Association of Cantonal Building Insurance Companies (VKG).
The new toolboxes are available in German and French, and the symbols are valid only for the Swiss market.

Theben HTS AG – New Manufacturer Toolbox
The presence and motion detectors from Theben HTS AG have been implemented in the RED CAD APP, and a new toolbox has been created.
The toolbox contains detailed information about the symbols, such as product descriptions, direct links to the products, and much more.
For each symbol, the activation and detection areas can be set and displayed visually on the plan.
Minor Optimizations in the RED CAD APP Program Code
Minor optimizations have been made to the program code of the RED CAD APP.
Opening the "My Toolbox" caused an app crash
The new encryption of toolboxes caused an app crash when attempting to open the "My Toolbox." The bug has been identified and fixed.
Impact placement error (NPK 2019)
Some icons could not be placed, resulting in an app crash. The problem was due to missing data in some icons (NPK 2019). This data is no longer required, so additional checks have been implemented to ensure that icons can now be placed without errors.
Toolboxes are only downloaded when needed
The file size of the individual toolboxes (symbols/products) has increased in recent months. Therefore, starting with version 3.14.9.0, only the standard toolboxes are downloaded. The VSEI, Steiger, and Feller toolboxes are thus downloaded directly upon first opening and permanently saved to the computer. This ensures that these toolboxes can then be used without an internet connection.
VSEI Module – New NPK 2019 Data Integrated
The new data from the NPK 2019 Standard Item Catalog has been integrated into RED CAD. The new data is available starting with version 3.14.9.0.

DigitalStrom Symbols Cause App Crash
Digitalstrom's integrated tool library had an internal bug that caused the software to crash whenever certain symbols were used. The bug has been identified and fixed.
Title Header (Small and Large) Does Not Save Last Change
The integrated title blocks in the RED CAD app normally save the user's last entries. Due to an internal code error, a check was not performed during saving, and the entries were therefore discarded.
The code has been corrected, and saving is now working again. The problem is resolved.
Text Changes Disappear Legend
The text in the automatically generated legend can generally be customized. However, when attempting to change the text content, the legend could only be made to disappear if the text was deleted in the properties using the "Backspace" key. Directly entering new text did not make the legend disappear.
Analysis has identified and fixed the bug in the code block. The text in the legend can now be customized again.
Standard spaces cannot be set
Due to the removal of Type 12 sockets, standard spaces (found in the Electrical Tools toolbox) could not be set. This was because Type 12 sockets were still present in the standard spaces. Their removal prevented the RED CAD app from finding or loading the symbol composition, leading to a crash.
All standard spaces have been corrected, and the error has been resolved. Standard spaces can now be used again.
Project Saving Fails
If you tried to open a schema document in the project management and clicked "Cancel" in the selection window (whether "With Title Block," "Without Title Block," etc.), the project could no longer be saved.
The corrupted schema was visible in the project view, but it was not created correctly, resulting in an internal error. Opening the document and saving the project was no longer possible.
The code block has been corrected, and a faulty document can no longer be created in this way.
T13 Sockets Updated
Due to legal regulations, Type 12 sockets are prohibited and may no longer be installed. Therefore, the RED CAD APP toolboxes have been updated, and all Type 12 sockets have been removed and replaced with Type 13.
The RED CAD APP is now up to date, and only Type 13 sockets can be placed and used.
Polish Translation Updated
The Polish translation has been updated.
Correction of Instructions/Manuals Link in Other Languages
The link in the Instructions/Manuals settings was incorrect in other languages. It still pointed to the old RED CAD website. It has been replaced with links to the new website.

Optimization of Polish and Italian translations
The Polish and Italian translations of RED CAD have been optimized.
Optimization of the license interface for DEMO licenses
When ordering DEMO licenses, users could enter foreign characters in the postal code field. This caused problems when creating the DEMO licenses. These characters are now simply ignored.
T12 sockets removed
Since T12 sockets (without protective collars) were discontinued at the end of 2016, we have adjusted the toolboxes so that these symbols are no longer displayed.
Optimization of the update function
The update function has been optimized because some customers who had already performed several updates experienced problems.
File extension correction
The last RED CAD version had problems registering file extensions. As a result, the association between .rcp, .rcs, and .rcc files with the RED CAD app was missing.
NPK 2017
The new data from the NPK Standard Item Catalog, version 2017, has been integrated into RED CAD.
