Fix: Program sometimes froze while scrolling in the Scenario Manager
When working within the Scenario Manager, the RED CAD app would occasionally become unresponsive and freeze. This issue has been resolved.
Improvement: Same user can now open the file even with a .lock file
When opening a RED CAD file, a ".lock" file is always created. When the RED CAD app was closed, there was sometimes an issue where the ".lock" file was not automatically removed. This prevented the same user from opening the file later.
This function has been optimized so that the same user who created the ".lock" file can open the RED CAD file without having to manually delete the ".lock" file.
New: Updated Toolbox “Theben HTS”
The toolbox from Theben HTS has been updated and expanded with new products. These can be found under the “APP” tab in the RED CAD APP software.
Fix: Network License Licensing Revised
Under certain circumstances, the license could not be read correctly. The licensing has been revised and corrected.
Fix: Automatic Connections in Schematics/Circuit Diagrams
The automatic connection points were not always drawn when two lines were joined at right angles. This issue has been resolved.
Improvement: Import Wizard Window Size
In some cases, the Import Wizard window extended beyond the screen size. This made importing plans difficult because the controls were not visible. The window opening behavior has been improved, thus resolving this issue.

The display of the capture areas for Theben symbols has been corrected. The error was caused by an incorrect decimal separator.
Fix: Schematic – Drawing the delete layer no longer crashes
There was a problem when using the delete layer within a schematic (circuit diagram) document that caused a crash. This problem has been fixed.
Fix: Schematic cross-references – Curved cables are now correctly detected for cross-references
With curved cables, the wrong path was detected, and therefore the cross-reference was declared with incorrect position information. This problem has been fixed.
Fix: Schematic cross-references – Fixed an error where incorrect paths could be specified using the arrow keys in the input field.
Incorrect paths could be generated in the cross-reference dialog if the values were entered using the mouse. This problem has been fixed.
Improvement: Hager (Schema) Toolbox has been updated
The toolbox for Hager products has been updated. The update will be installed automatically the first time you open the toolbox.
Using the search function within the toolbox, you can now enter the part number of Hager (example: "TXA022") to find the correct product directly.
Fix: Toolbars now load correctly on startup
If the "Load toolbar on startup" option was enabled in the program settings, the toolbars loaded empty. This issue has been resolved.
Fix: Saving projects
There was an extremely rare problem when saving projects. If a plan file for the project was missing, the saving process was blocked. This issue has been resolved.
Fix: Opening a toolbar caused a crash
Under very specific circumstances, opening a toolbar caused the RED CAD app to crash. This issue has been resolved.
Fix: Resetting text fields
When resetting text fields using the Undo function, the text was displayed offset from the text field. This issue has been resolved.
Fix: Schematic/Circuit Diagram - Basic Page Numbering Settings
In the program settings under Schematic, you can define the page number with which the schematics/circuit diagrams begin. However, the value 0 could not be set. This issue has been resolved.
Correction: Schematic/Circuit Diagram – Cross-references with Sequential Numbering
In schematics/circuit diagrams with sequential path numbering, cross-references were displayed incorrectly. This issue has been resolved.
Improvement: Performance of the Underfloor Heating Assistant
The underfloor heating assistant has been optimized for calculating heating circuits. The difference is minimal when calculating small circuits, but for larger circuits, performance has been improved by up to 50%. This results in faster calculations.
Improvement: Schematic/Circuit Diagram - Keyboard Drawing Improved
The keyboard drawing functionality has been improved so that only paths actually present on the schematic can be drawn. Previously, lines were drawn outside of the paths. This is no longer possible.
The most important new features are also shown in this video: Update News Version 3.17.01.00
New: Inserting relative to insertion points
Entire installations can now be copied and pasted from document to document using insertion points.
This requires that both documents contain an insertion point. The working "Insertion Point" icons can be found in the toolbox under the "Label" category.
New: Transparent background plans
Imported background plans can now be displayed transparently. Transparency can be defined directly during the import process in the Import Wizard using a slider from 0% to 99%.
New: Underfloor Heating Wizard Layout Default Values
It is now possible to define default values for underfloor heating in the program settings, which will apply to every new plan.
When creating heating circuits, the defined default values are loaded, but can be changed at any time. If the default values have been changed within a document, the last used values will be applied to the next heating circuit.
New: Cross-reference symbols can now be saved as custom symbols and retain their functionality.
Cross-reference symbols can now be saved in the custom toolbar and retain their functionality as cross-reference symbols.
Fix: Schematic grid now loads correctly.
In some cases, the grid in the schematic/circuit diagram was not loading correctly, resulting in incorrect positioning of the grid points. This issue has been corrected.
Fix: If the Scenario Manager/Properties panel was closed, it will now be automatically restored the next time the program is started.
Previously, if the Scenario Manager or Properties panel was manually closed by the user, it would no longer be visible the next time the program was started.
Now, the Scenario Manager and Properties panel are restored upon program startup.
Fix: Schematic toolbox "Ventilation" translated into French.
The "Ventilation" toolbox is now available in French.
Fix: Auto-position labels in the schematic were not working correctly everywhere (e.g., with terminals).
For some symbols, such as terminal symbols, the automatic position information disappeared if they were moved after placement. This bug has been fixed.
Improvement: Scrolling is now possible in the Underfloor Heating Wizard if the entire panel is not visible.
If the list of heating circuits became too long, the button for adding heating circuits disappeared from the view.
Fix: The view of the underfloor heating assistant has been improved and is now scrollable.
Fix: Background plan could not be moved if it had been rotated during import
The "Move background plans" function stopped working if the background plan had been rotated during import. This issue has been fixed.
Fix: Underfloor heating wizard – Drawing the heating area can now be completed with the Enter key
If the line was completed with Enter instead of double-clicking the left mouse button when drawing the heating area boundary, this command caused a crash.
This issue has been resolved, and it is now possible to complete the line with Enter.
Improvement: If a file is saved with a path that is too long (>260 characters), a message will appear, and a new path must be selected.
If an attempt was made to save a file to a directory and the file path exceeded the maximum length of 260 characters, Windows automatically saved the file to the program's installation directory.
Now, in the RED CAD app, the save operation will not be executed if this problem occurs. The user will receive a message prompting them to redefine the save path and then complete the save operation.
