Improvements: Translations revised
Translations into the various languages have been improved.
Fixed: Loading of schematic/circuit diagram title block
The title block of schematic/circuit diagram documents was no longer initialized correctly. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed: Text fields for custom symbols
Text fields were not being saved when creating custom symbols. This issue has been resolved.
These revision clouds allow the user to mark specific revision points.
New: Positioning the Print Area with Arrow Keys
The print area can now be positioned using the arrow keys. This provides the user with more precise positioning of the print area.
New: Defining Colors for the Schematic Grid
The colors of the schematic/circuit diagram grid can now be individually defined. This new setting can be found in the Main Menu → Application Settings → Circuit Diagram.
New: Fire Protection Glass Fire Resistance
Glass fire resistance ratings can now be drawn as lines instead of symbols.
This allows for simpler and more precise planning of glass fire resistance ratings. The new drawing type can be found in the Fire Protection tab.
New: Schematic Bookmarks for PDF Export
A bookmark directory is now created when exporting schematics/circuit diagrams to PDF.
This feature allows you to create a structure for the exported PDF file within the RED CAD app, thus enabling easier navigation. The bookmarks are created based on the input values in the "Attachment" field in the title block.
Further information can be found here → Link to instructions
New: Layer Control in PDF Background Plans
Layers in PDF background plans can now be shown or hidden, similar to DWG/DXF files, if the PDF file contains layers.
Access to the layer structure can be found in the Import Wizard and the Scenario Manager, just like with DWG/DXF plans.
Fixed: Legend not displaying all symbols
A plan document with two different symbol languages produced an incorrect legend, or the symbols were not visible. This problem has been fixed.
Fixed: Dock Point Function
Several problems arose when using dock points, such as the endpoint of a line never correctly docking to the dock point.
All of these problems have been fixed, and the function has been fundamentally improved.
Fixed: Ensure the "toolbox_common" file exists
For some users, the "toolbox_common" file was missing for unexplained reasons. This prevented, for example, the creation of schema documents. The system now checks for the file's presence on startup.
Fixed: DWG AutoCorrect Function (Beta)
The autocorrect (beta) function, which can be applied to DWG files to automatically reduce the drawing area, has been fixed. When reopening documents in which the function had been applied, the icons were sometimes no longer in the correct position. This problem has been fixed.
Fixed: Wall Assistant no longer causes crash
Walls drawn with the Wall Assistant could not be resized or moved by selecting or moving the segment ends. The RED CAD app would close as soon as a segment end was selected and moved. This issue has been fixed.
Improvement: Fill removed from area calculation
The fill pattern that was present by default in the areas used for area calculation has been removed. This improves the readability of the drawn areas. A fill pattern can optionally be added later via the properties.
Improvement: Placeholders are now exported correctly to DWG/DXF
Placeholder text, such as DateTime, is now exported to the DWG/DXF file with the correct values.
Improvements: Adjustments to the Underfloor Heating Assistant
The Underfloor Heating Assistant has received several improvements:
Improvement: User Interface (UI) Panels/Windows
Several user interface (UI) panels/windows have been corrected and adjusted.
Improvement: Schema Import Wizard Import Process Revised
The schema import wizard import process has been revised based on customer feedback. The import process now has a more logical sequence.
Improvement: Symbol Legend Sorted by Symbol Name
The symbol legend is now automatically sorted by symbol name.
Improvement: DWG/DXF Export – Dimension Lines Improved
The export of dimension line objects to DWG/DXF has been improved. Dimension lines are no longer exported as block references, but as DWG/DXF-compliant dimension lines. This improvement resolves the issue of how drawn dimension lines are displayed in an exported DWG/DXF file.
Fixed: Underfloor heating – Supply and return pipes can no longer be rotated
When defining supply and return pipes within the underfloor heating wizard, it was possible to rotate their positions, which should not be possible. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed: Neutralizing with "Esc" no longer resets the last used symbol
The last used symbol was removed by pressing the ESC key, making it impossible to reuse it without reselecting the symbol from the toolbar. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed: Visible area in PDF background plans is now rotated correctly
If a visible area was defined when importing a background plan and the background was subsequently rotated, the defined area was not displayed correctly. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed: CSV Parts list Corrected
Exporting a bill of materials was no longer working. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed: Angle Calculation No Longer Causes Crash
Angle calculations on very large drawing areas caused the RED CAD app to freeze. The angle values could not be calculated or resulted in a very long loading time. Due to this excessive loading time, Windows intervened and caused the RED CAD app to crash. This problem occurred extremely rarely and has been fixed by correcting the calculation.
Fixed: Text editing mode with dockable dock function enabled no longer causes a crash
Previously, text editing mode with dockable dock function enabled caused the program to crash. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed: Grayscale and black and white conversion now works correctly
Previously, after importing, the conversion to grayscale or black and white was not applied to the background plan, even though it was configured. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed: A message is now displayed for printing errors
Previously, no error message was displayed to the user when a printing error occurred. Now, an error message is displayed.
Fixed: Bills of materials with groupings are now exported correctly
Previously, when a bill of materials was created from the entire project file, the groupings and layer structure were incorrect. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed: Scenarios organized by category can now be opened without errors
If the Scenario Manager in a file was set to the "Category" outline and it contained icons without category names, this resulted in an error preventing it from opening. This issue has been resolved.
Plans saved in a project file could previously no longer be opened. This problem occurred very rarely. The issue has been fixed.
New: Schematic/Circuit Import Wizard
Schematics/circuit diagrams in PDF/DWG/DXF format can now be imported using a completely redesigned import function. The new Schematic/Circuit Import Wizard was primarily developed for schematics originating from RED CAD ES. Schematics from other CAD programs will also work. The new schema import assistant enables:
Batch import
Easier adaptation to the RED CAD APP paper format
Intuitive operation

New: File checksum when saving files
When saving files, a background check is now performed to ensure the file is complete and correct. This prevents corrupted files from being created during saving.
New: Placeholder text
It is now possible to use placeholder text in text fields. When exporting to PDF, this allows you to display the file path, file name, or current date. Placeholder texts can be combined.
%filepath%%filename%%date%%scale%%paperkind%New: Schematic/Circuit Diagram Grid Transparency
The schematic/circuit diagram grid (red guidelines) can now be displayed more transparently. Transparency can be defined and set as a default in the program settings.
New: Automatic Line Wrapping for Text Fields
An option can now be activated for text fields to automatically create line breaks. This option can be enabled in the properties of the selected text field. Previously, the text always extended beyond the text field.
New: New Symbols for EV Charging Stations
The "Electrical Overall" toolbox has been expanded with symbols for EV charging stations. The new symbols can be found in the new "E-Mobility" category.
New: Flury Lightning Protection Updated
The "Flury Lightning Protection" module has been completely revised.
Fixed: Repeatedly clicking the "Print" button caused the app to crash
If the Print button was clicked repeatedly in quick succession, it occasionally caused the app to crash. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed: Font settings in the Properties window adjusted
The font settings within the Properties window have been revised, and display errors have been fixed.
The font settings now open cleanly within the Properties window and no longer extend beyond the visible area of the monitor.
Fixed: "Delete Layer Active" button corrected
A rare bug in the "Delete Layer" function has been fixed.
This bug allowed the Delete Layer to be activated only via the Scenario Manager and not via the "Delete Layer" button in the Plan tab.
Fixed: Legend position not saved when "Frame" is toggled on/off
The position of a legend was never saved correctly when the "Frame" property was disabled. This resulted in the legend being in a different position each time the file was opened. The "Frame" property of the legend has been corrected, and the problem is resolved.
Fixed: Visible Area Adjusted in Combination with PDF Background
If a "Visible Area" was defined in the Import Wizard for a PDF background plan and the plan was subsequently rotated by a specific angle, the "Visible Area" was displayed incorrectly after import. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed: Scaling of Background Plans
In extremely rare cases, invisible or locked background plans could be selected for scaling. This caused a crash. The problem has been fixed.
Fixed: DWG Origin Point Can Again Be Defined with the Insertion Point Symbol
The "Insertion Point" symbol no longer set the origin point in a DWG/DXF file during export. This issue has been corrected, and the insertion point now correctly sets the origin point to 0,0.
Fixed: Z-index issue with background plans has been corrected
When multiple floor plans are imported, the Scenario Manager allows you to specify which plan should be in the foreground or background. Visually, the change was applied, but not when printing to PDF. This Z-index issue has now been resolved.
Fixed: Save Cycle Analysis
Some users reported that they were suddenly unable to save. The save operation using Ctrl + S was subsequently analyzed for errors, but none were found. Nevertheless, several fixes and logging mechanisms were implemented to prevent users from losing their saved data.
Fixed: Cross-Reference Export Corrected (Schematic/Circuit Diagram)
Cross-reference information was not visible in exported DWG/DXF files. This issue has been resolved, and the export process has been revised.
Fixed: Moving Mirrored Background Plans Corrected
If a plan was imported mirrored using the import wizard, the axes were rotated when moving it.
This issue has been fixed.
Fixed: Deletion layer elements of a background plan are now correctly removed
If a floor plan had drawn deletion layer areas and the floor plan was removed from the document, the deletion layer areas remained. This issue has been fixed, and the areas are now removed along with the floor plan.
Fixed: Deleting heating zones no longer causes a crash
In extremely rare cases, attempting to delete a heating zone caused a program crash. This issue has been corrected.
Fixed: Path selection in "Save As..." adjusted
When multiple schematic/circuit diagram documents were open and "Save As" was executed, the save dialog always pointed to an incorrect path, or rather, it always used the save path of the first opened document. This issue has been corrected.
Fixed: Schematic/circuit diagram – Selected background plan causes layout to disappear
When an imported background plan was selected via the Scenario Manager in a schematic/circuit diagram document and an object/element was subsequently drawn, the page layout disappeared completely.
This issue has been corrected.
Fixed: Schematic/Circuit Diagram – Background Plan Loads Correctly After Duplicating Page
When executing "Duplicate Page" on unsaved documents, the PDF/DWG file imported on the page was not duplicated. This issue has been fixed.
Fixed: Schematic/Circuit Diagram – Delete Layer Elements Load Correctly Again
When the delete layer was applied to an imported PDF/DWG file, the deleted areas reappeared during drawing. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed: Category Names Display Correctly Based on the Current Program Language
The translation of category names in the Scenario Manager did not match the current program language. This issue has been fixed, and the category name translation is now displayed correctly.
Improvement: Improved PDF Output
The PDF output has been improved and revised. Previously, for example, with the line type "Dash-Dot-Dash," the dots were not visible in the PDF file. This improvement ensures that line types and patterns are now output correctly.
Improvement: Middle Mouse Button Context Menu Removed
The keyboard shortcut "click mouse wheel" for activating the context menu has been removed. In some cases, the context menu opened when zooming in or out of the drawing area.
Improvement: Hidden Elements No Longer Used for the Legend
Hidden symbols were still being included in the legend. This prevented the creation of a differentiated legend when different plan views were created. Now, hidden symbols are no longer included in the legend.
Improvement: Schematic/Circuit Diagram - "Esc" Key Clears Last Drawn Symbol
If symbols were placed in a schematic/circuit diagram using the keyboard and the mouse pointer was neutralized with the ESC key, the symbol could still be placed. Now, pressing the ESC key clears the symbol history.
Improvement: DWG/DXF Export - Text Fields Can Be Exported as Text
The DWG/DXF export has been optimized and improved with regard to text fields. Text fields are now correctly converted and written as text objects to a DWG/DXF file.
