The following points should be noted when changing the computer:
Back up all your created documents to external storage, such as cloud storage (Microsoft Sharepoint, Google Drive, Dropbox), network storage (NAS), external hard disk or similar. The RED CAD APP file formats are *.rcc, *.rcp, *.rcs
When you have created and saved your own symbols, the personal toolbox (custom toolbox) must be exported via the toolbox manager.
The toolbox manager is available under Main menu → Toolbox manager.
The personal toolbox is saved in a backup file (*.db) after export. The backup file needs to be saved on an external storage device.
You do not need new license data when changing computers. The license data remains the same. If you no longer have the license data, please contact our support team.
A single-user license is hardware-bound and requires activation so that activation on a new computer is guaranteed.
The license activation can be executed in the RED CAD APP via Main menu → Unlock license on the old computer.
If access to the old computer is no longer possible, please contact our support team and request that the license be activated.
A Flex license does not require a specific license unlock because the license is not hardware-bound and license access is only temporary.
The license will automatically be unlocked when the RED CAD APP is closed correctly with an existing internet connection.
The license can be activated directly on a new computer.
