Problem: You have entered a typo in the license information, which prevents you from retrieving the license.
Solution: Check the entered license information for typos (a lowercase "L" is often confused with an uppercase "i") and unnecessary spaces. Try activating the license again.
Problem: Your activated license has a limited use and an expiration date. This date has now been reached.

Problem: The license you have already activated or are trying to activate has been activated on another computer. Workstation licenses have a limited number of activations.
Solution A: Activate the license manually via the RED CAD APP main menu → Activate License
Solution B : Contact us by phone at +41 (0) 61 508 35 35 or by email [email protected] and request activation.
Problem: The Flex licence has a defined number of simultaneous users and this number has been reached.
Solution A: Try to find out which computer is still actively using the RED CAD APP and close the RED CAD APP on that computer to free up access.
Solution B: Start the RED CAD APP one after the other on all computers with an active installation. The computer on which the RED CAD APP can be opened is currently blocking the licence. Close the RED CAD APP on this device to release the licence again.
Solution C: If you cannot find out which computer is blocking access, please contact us by phone at +41 (0) 61 508 35 35 or by email [email protected] and request activation.
Problem: The connection to our activation server is not guaranteed or is blocked.
An internet connection is generally required for activation or when starting up (only for FLEX licences).
First, check your existing internet connection.
If you have an existing internet connection, you can use the following URL https://services.redcad.net/handshake in your browser to check whether your network is blocking the connection in general or only blocking the RED CAD APP.
If IsSuccessful: True does not appear in the browser, the connection to our services is generally blocked by the firewall, proxy server, or antivirus program → Solution A
If IsSuccessful: True appears in the browser, the connection to our services is not blocked for the browser itself, but only the RED CAD APP is blocked by the firewall, proxy server, or antivirus program → Solution B
Solution A: Ask your IT administrator to enable the following DNS on the firewall or proxy server → https://*.redcad.net/* and https://*.redcad.ch/*
Solution B: Temporarily disable your installed firewall or antivirus program and try activating/starting the RED CAD app again. the error no longer occurs, we recommend defining a corresponding exception in your firewall or antivirus program. Please discuss the exception with your IT administrator.
